There is nothing you did wrong or could have done differently. This was all part of God’s plan (Jeremiah 29:11)
Overcoming Mom guilt is actually pretty easy because not only are we fearfully and wonderfully made so are our babies.
(Psalm 139:14)
The Lord chose you to be the mother of this precious unique child. He knew they needed you.
My son is always smiling and saying how happy he is. One day, his teacher called to tell me about a conversation she had with the school janitor. He told her, “Every time I see Tyler, he really lifts my spirits. His smile brightens my day. Please tell his mom she's doing a really good job raising him.”
God chose our children to be bright lights in this world, and hearing that warmed my heart.
You were chosen by your father in heaven to be the nurturer and protector of this precious child. How special you must be that the God of the universe handpicked you to take care of this amazing, gifted, unique child. He chose your womb to form this precious Baby in.
He chose you the one who wakes up sometimes and thinks to herself how can I even do this? Am I even good enough to be the parent of a child with special needs? He chose your womb to form this precious Baby in.
You must stop questioning and rest in knowing that Jesus chose you for a reason, you are exactly who your child needs. How important you must be that out of all the women on this earth God chose you!
Yes, our job is harder, yes our job requires more patience, and is more time-consuming than most parents, but it is the most rewarding job we could ever ask for.
Every time our child hits a milestone we celebrate like we have never celebrated before, we clap, we laugh, we cry. We saw how hard our child struggled in that area. We saw the defeat in their eyes, and for years we thought to ourselves, they probably aren’t ever going to be able to reach this goal. Then when they finally do, the tears start to fall because the impossible was birthed right before our very eyes. Every milestone reached no matter how big or small is what builds our faith, it is what makes Hope arise! Witnessing daily struggles conquered is one of the biggest blessings we could ever receive!
The Lord will provide!
When we start to feel defeated and depleted, we can go to God and ask for all that we need. He will provide us with the patience, the energy and the strength to help our child get up and not only face, but conquer the day! All we need to do is ask because he knows exactly what we need to provide the best care for them, ask and you shall receive. (Matthew 7:7)
